What to expect when traveling by plane
The good news is that today the majority of all airlines are now geared towards catering to air travelers with disabilities. But, flying with a disability is slightly more complicated than it is for the rest of the passengers – you will need to spend more time for security checks because of your wheelchair and the rest of your equipment, you will need to take care of the sensitive equipment, you will be required to get early into plane, before the other passengers get into their seats, and you will be required to wait until the rest of the passengers have vacated the plane once you arrive at your destination.
Also, flying with a disability should not create any hindrance in your journey. In some planes you can go to the toilet, with help, and you should get the best seat available for that.

Train travel can be relaxing and practical, it offers an experience unmatched by almost any other method of transportation. But when traveling by train there are some additional issues for the mobility-challenged – confined spaces and limited room means you need to plan ahead in order to enjoy the trip to its fullest. Some companies providing train transport services do provide additional services to passengers with disabilities and they have worked to make their facilities more accessible to all their customers. Not all stations are wheelchair accessible, so check online for station-specific accessibility features.
