Types of medical transportation service

There are many types of medical transportation services to transport patients between facilities or places, they save lives in the event of an emergency or help people be healthy and happier. These services are available for all patients 24 hours day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The severity of the situation, mileage, and the patient’s medical condition determine the type of transportation needed.

Those services enable patients to reach their destination quickly and efficiently. While in transit the highly trained drivers, emergency medical technicians and paramedics provide medical services that may be needed to ensure a safe arrival.

Non-emergency Medical Transportation

The Non-emergency medical transportation services transport individuals with health conditions or injuries that does not pose an immediate threat and are scheduled in advance to transport the patient to and from appointments. There are several reasons for that:

  • Healthcare providers prefer professional services like True to Care because of the dependability and neutrality.
  • Doctors schedule transportation for patients who have a medical condition that who have difficulties in moving from one place to another and prohibits them from travel.
  • Law firms depend on these services to transport an injured client to a deposition, court appearance, or interview.
  • Individuals want to go out for errands or visit places and friends, and need to get safe and on time to destination.

Ambulatory transportation

Ambulatory transportation is the most common form of non-emergency medical transportation, and it is used by the patients who do not need equipment to travel and who are able to walk, or only need basic assistance.

Wheelchair

Wheelchair transport services offer help to all those who are confined to a wheelchair or scooter and who cannot walk on their own. CPR-trained drivers operate the vans and wheelchair lifts. Again, the use of this service implies that the patient does not need immediate emergency care at the time of service.

Stretcher

Stretcher medical transport is available for patients who cannot sit upright, from any reasons. Scheduling this service implies that emergency assistance is not required in transit or at time of arrival.

All our staff are trained to take care of our customer and get them to destination safe and on time.
