According to The Arizona Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (ADDPC), 7.9% of the population in Maricopa County were living with a disability in 2017-2021 (under age 65 years). On state level, in 2022 there were 1,382,191 adults in Arizona having a disability (24%, almost 1 in 4 adults) according to CDC.

- 10% Cognition: Serious difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions
- 6% Independent living: Serious difficulty doing errands alone, such as visiting a doctor’s office
- 6% Hearing: Deafness or serious difficulty hearing
- 5% Vision: Blind or serious difficulty seeing, even when wearing glasses
- 3% Self-care: Difficulty dressing or bathing
Our community needs resources that help with daily life, like transportation services from True to Care. The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation service we are offering is wheelchair friendly ride that allows people with disabilities to get wherever they need to go, when they need to be there. Although family and friends try to accommodate their ride needs whenever they can, there are many instances when it’s just not possible for them to be available considering that some treatments or health maintenance issues require recurring transportation. We offer transportation 24 hours 7 days a week, each week, and we have an important rule: recurring multiple rides scheduled ahead of time are discounted based on frequency.
We’ll transport you to medical appointments, medical treatments and recovery, outpatient procedures, dialysis or cancer (chemotherapy) treatments, visiting a pharmacy to pick up medications, attending a wellness program at a hospital or community center, hospital discharge, but you can also call us for hotel transportation, airport pickup & dropoff, leisure & entertainment or any other destination you need to get to.
